Black truffle

The truffle is a fungus, a parasite that is born on the roots of some plants.

The Nero Pregiato di Norcia truffle born in the summer, from May to August, when weather conditions are favorable, alternating sun and rain. The period of maturation and harvesting runs from December 1 to March 15.
Not all truffles ripen at the same time: it is therefore essential for its collection, the help of the dog that is the only mature truffles notice the penetrating scent.
